Antón Álvarez Ruiz
Degree and PhD in "Advertising and Public Relations". Teacher of Degree and Master in the Faculty of Communication of the Complutense University of Madrid
He has worked as a creative first and as a strategic planner later in different agencies: BBDO, Publicis Group, Leo Burnett, Grupo WPP… He has won awards with his publicity campaigns in reputed festivals such as Cannes, FIAP, El Sol and New York Festivals.
He got his degree and PhD in “Advertising and Public Relations” in the University Complutense of Madrid-UCM. At the moment he is a teacher of degree and master in the Faculty of Communication of the UCM.
He has published a great number of books and articles on the importance of strategy and strategic planning. Also regarding the social effects of persuasive communication –particularly in young audiences (kids and teenagers)– and its ability for speeding social change.
He is a member of the Spanish Academy of Advertising, of the AE-IC (Spanish Association of Researchers in Communication) and of ‘The APG” (The Account Planning Group, international association of planners).
He has been guest professor at various universities of Europe, Latin America and Africa.
