Clara Simón de Blas
Assistant Professor at Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid
Responsible of lectures of statistics, operation research and ICT for Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, Mathematics and Decision Engineering Master with positive teaching evaluations in Docentia program.
Previously, she was responsible of mathematics lectures in English at Saint Louis University and also in companies like Avon Cosmetics as high qualified Statistic Responsible of modeling and forecast of sales time series for Europe and North Africa, I.C.A. as Project Manager in collaboration with the Spanish Tax Agency in the development of new technologies and Bayes Forecast as Project Manager.
In the last 12 years she has published into 12 high relevant scientific journals as Omega, REDBUIN, Communications in Statistics, APJOR and Climate Change in matters related to Time Series, Data Envelopment Analysis, Operations research and applied statistics.
In collaboration with professors of URJC and UCM Universities, she has participated also in the elaboration of 3 teaching statistics books and more than 20 scientific papers in journals peer reviewed. She was Manager of 5 projects with external companies, and part of the project team of more than 10 international and national research projects. She has collaborated with Berkeley (CA, USA) and Graz (Austria) Universities as member of the research team in postdoctoral visiting research.
Her researching interests are centered in management and efficiency analysis of public organizations, time series forecasting and modeling, statistics applications and humanitarian logistics.
