She holds a Doctoral Degree in Social Sciences from El Colegio de Sonora and a Master Degree in Educational Technology from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
She has a BSc in Computer Engineering-Instituto Tecnológico de Hermosillo.
According to the Mexican Ministry of Education she has a desirable academic profile (known in Spanish as PRODEP) and she is leader of the academic group “Innovation and Educational Development”.
The research topics she cultivates oscillate mainly in two areas: Educational Technology (Information Technologies and Communications, Digital Literacy, Information literacy, mixed forms of Education and the use of digital tools in the University (standardization and labour skills, digital divide & digital knowledge).
She is a full-time researcher at the State University of Sonora and lecturer at the University of Sonora.
She has authored and co-authored some scientific articles and she been speaker at national and international forums (Costa Rica, Buenos Aires, Spain, La Habana, USA).
