Lines of research:

Digital Literacy, children and advertising, children and innovation methods in education, social network and teens. Online advertising, Social Web, Semantic Web, Digital Natives, New Technologies.

Her main interests are social networks and teens, leading the research group: Teens Communities and Digital Literacy. Codirector of GECA , group dedicated to Gender in Complutense University, leading the group about Gender and Teens.

Visiting Researcher at several international universities as the University  of Sao Paulo and Helsinki, collaborating in Latin American and European universities in different research projects.

Member of the research groups: SOCMEDIA (Study of the learning and leisure socio-communicative behaviours and competences developed by children and young people (digital natives) through the use of new media and ICT) and Member of Images, Words and Ideas Group (

Author of several articles and books related to the aforementioned subjects. Speaker in various international conferences. Academic President of the International Advertising Association (IAA). Chair of Ecrea (Temporary Working Group Advertising Research )

Head of the Lab Youth Thinkin´dedicated  to research about Brands and Teens.

Tutor of Unesco Media Literacy on line course .  Adviser of the International Council for the Protection of Children  (
